What We Do
The New York City Public Schools Office of Business Development (OBD), led by Dr. Tammy Pate, Deputy Chief Officer, is committed to identifying, developing, and increasing the utilization of Small Businesses across NYCPs, Central Offices, New York City Agencies, and the private sector.
The Office of Business Development has demonstrated expertise in accelerating opportunities for Minority/Women Business Enterprises (“M/WBE”) and other community-based small businesses as evidenced by increased contract opportunity and utilization. OBD stands as a liaison between M/WBE vendors and the various departments and initiatives within the agency.
